We offer green roof volcanic substrates in six standard varieties:
Extensive (SE) A substrate with a small organic content for extensive crops. It creates perfect conditions for the growth of sedum and other plants that like permeable, poor soils. A minor trace of floatable fractions protects the filter layer from clogging and the limited organic content prevents weed growth. 5-15 cm recommended layer.

Intensive (SI) A fertile substrate for intensive crops. Perfect for roll lawns, perennials, shrubs, and trees. Mostly used in utility green areas on building patios above underground garages. Provides excellent retention of rainwater. Thanks to optimal permeability it prevents the formation of water pools. The high organic content provides nutrients for the proper development of plants, and a stable skeleton ensures proper root aeration and stability of the soil. 15-40 cm recommended layer.

Lawn (ST) A specialized fine grain (up to 5 mm) substrate intended for seeding lawns. Recommended both as a top layer in multi-layer systems of a green roof and as well as for native soil so that the grass growing on it looks as attractive as that on the green roof. The recommended layer is 5-10 cm. The high organic content provides nutrients, and the finely crushed porous volcanic rock increases absorption and provides excellent water storage, so lawns do not need to be watered as often as on sand-based substrates. The fine graining allows for safe mowing of the lawn without the danger of larger parts of aggregates getting on your way as in standard substrates.

Mineral (SM) A specialized substrate with minimal organic content for use as a stand-alone soil in extensive crops with the highest fire resistance requirements or as a base layer under an intensive substrate if the substrate thickness exceeds 35 cm. The high content of porous volcanic tuff ensures high water capacity and excellent retention. Organic content is limited to the addition of lignite to protect the soil from decay in the deeper layers and spread the humic acids that support the root systems in their growth.

Extensive Light (SEL) A specialized substrate with reduced weight for extensive crops on lightweight roofs. High permeability parameters cause rapid drainage of rainwater from the roof surface, protecting it against overload even during heavy rain. 5-15 cm recommended layer.

Extensive Single Layer (SE1) A specialized substrate with increased permeability. It acts as a substrate and drainage on the roof, so there is no need to install a drainage layer under the substrate. Due to the reduced water capacity, it requires a thicker layer than the standard substrate.

We also develop individual mixtures tailored to the planned applications on demand. The possible regulation of mixture includes but is not limited to PH level, water, and air capacity, permeability, and amount of nutrients.
